Happy Mother's Day 2010

Here is my Mother's Day card that Rachel did in school. She mentioned that they had fun with all the tinsels while applying it on the card. I'm wondering how much it ended up on the card vs on the children themselves.

This is one of the things that I do like about this school. They teach the children about all these things. There will be one for Father's Day and there was one for Chinese New Year too.

Of course, even before she started school, we did have this tradition to make simple cards during birthdays of family members. Well, it was usually me drawing out the pictures while she 'helped' in the colouring.

How to hold booties in the mouth... Sydnie way

Here is a step by step instructions on how to hold on to a booty in the mouth, the Sydnie way.

First try to get the foot with the booty to the mouth. This may take some time as the leg may not be co-operating. But trust me, it can be done.

Secondly, once the booty is off the foot, cram it in properly.

Thirdly, test that the hold is correct.

To the front, okie?

Looking up, still in?

Hmm, how about sideways?

Finally, pose for the camera! Yay!

What is it?

Can you guess what is it? Scroll down for answer

Safari sticker deco

I bought this sticker at MITC during the HOMEDEX last month. It is much cheaper than the other place at EON Bandaraya Melaka. It is only RM5! but the down side is limited choices. Pretty isn't it? There is another one, but it does not come out nice as the sticker is in pink and light pink, and the wall I stuck it on is beige, so there is not much contrast. I'll post it later, if I ever do...

PS. I'm reaallly fed up with blogger... when I post pictures, only 'weird' picture details i.e. program language shows up.. so I can't see the effect before posting...

Down with Love - TW drama

I've watched this a few months back. Yes, it is still showing in TW, but the whole series has been leaked out and you can find it on YT.

This is not a series recap, but just my thoughts on it. I don't know why I actually watched it as I still cringed when I recall Jerry Yan's pineapple head Dao Ming Si and Ella's OT acting in Hana Kimi. Must be bored or curious.

Actually, I was pleasantly surprised at the acting. It may be that I had such low expectation of it that it did not fall any lower. Jerry Yan's Lawyer Xu is pretty cool... and he has matured enough to get some emotion into the acting and maybe, b'cos the role is not too heavy, it sort of fits.

Ella Bao Bei didn't go over the top too much (by TW drama standard), but her hair-do... why must there be a tail/horn? I also dunno why the role must be written to be so dumb. I wonder whether Ella will one day get a role that doesn't make her looks stupid (not that she is stupid....)

As for the 2nd leads, well, I guess, they need to be as whimpy and irritating. In all the dramas that I've watched, the 2nd leads are almost always irritating... Hui Fan is only thinking about herself, and as all 2nd leads wont to do, creating pitfalls for the lead actor and actresses. But she is so 2dimensional I sometimes just fast forward her scenes.

As for 'Lawrence', hmmm, on the surface, he looks good, but sometimes, he just don't get the essence of the role. A prince charming can have character, you know. I know that he is doing all that for Hui Fan but for goodness sake, where is his backbone?

But what I liked about the show is the supporting actors and actresses. The guy that acts as her father is just so hilarious. He was the grandpa in the what-the-name princess... I'll edit once I track down the title.

Yang Duo is also pretty well acted. I've not come across anybody as creatively kiam siap as her. The role is written as a tough lady, but I like the soft-at-heart parts too.

And the 2 children are just so cute! Just looked forward at their scenes.

Last but not least is the new lawyer.. I forgot his character name, but he acted just how somebody who is a little bit timid (well, who won't when dealing with Yang Duo) but he just knows how to press her buttons. Although he was rejected by her, I liked how it was done and his expression, a little bit let down but still quietly hopeful.
