Have anybody drive through a street lined with flowering angsana trees? If yes, then you'll know how I feel.
The roads leading to my workplace is lined with angsana trees. Once a year, when all the trees start to bloom and the flowers begin to fall, it is extremely lovely to drive through the road with the flowers racing to meet your windscreen. The fresh fallen flowers literally covers the ground yellow, and if there is any cars parked below the trees, it too will be 'coloured' yellow.
The small yellow flowers will last only 1 - 2 days before it start to fall, and within one day, it will turn brown. So, to time the driving through time is by chance, actually.
This year's was not as nice as the one a couple of years back, but it is the first time hubby and Rachel managed to see it. And see it twice!! By chance, the first flowering day happened to be a Saturday, and hubby fetched me to work, so when Rachel came along to bring me home, she managed to see it. But I didn't bring the camera along, so no pics lar...
Sorry, the pictures were of the 2nd week where less trees were flowering.
